December 2025 Update
" Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” - Proverbs 4:23 –
Dear family and friends,
As we conclude our Study of the Book of Exodus in our weekly Inductive Bible Study, one of the profound truth that stood out was this. In Egypt, Pharaoh was the visible force keeping God’s people from fulfilling their calling to worship and serve Him. Yet, after their miraculous deliverance, it wasn’t Pharaoh or any external enemy that became their biggest hindrance while in the desert—it was their own hearts. Their longing for the familiar, fear of the unknown, and unwillingness to fully trust God led them to grumble, disobey, and even desire to return to slavery.
This story reflects a very present reality. As people redeemed by the blood of Christ, we must ask: what keeps us from fully walking in our purpose today? More often than not, it isn’t external opposition or hardship—it’s internal resistance. Our habits, comfort zones, and old ways of thinking often keep us from stepping into the life of freedom and obedience God calls us to.
Let us press forward, not as those still bound, but as those truly free.

MINISTRIES
Hospitality
In the past few months we were blessed by the visit of some old friends that we pray to see some long term partnership develop with in ministry.
We welcomed Shamus and Sherry who are a part of the YWAM Caribbean eldership team and are relocating in this new season to serve from Saint Lucia. We pray their experience will help the ministry here.
Pastor Joel Eugene (and his wife Areliz ) serving in New Jersey who is also Marylin's nephew blessed us with their visit and we spent some time talking about ministry and considering potential partnership.
Chris is a young man who was passing through St Lucia on a cruise and insisted to volunteer while on Island.
Experiential Learning Training Workshop
In partnership with the Saint Lucia Sport Movement we organized in October a Training Workshop aimed at equipping Youth Leaders from the network of Christian Youth Leaders on the Island with the experiential learning approach in engaging youth through sports and play.
Over twenty-five leaders from various denominations took part in the workshop and admit they are now better equipped to engage the new generation with the message of the Gospel. We thank the Vide Bouteille Primary School who allowed us the use their facility to this effect.
Juvenile At Risk
As you may know we minister among juveniles both boys from the Boys Juvenile Centre and girls at risk - Transit Home here on the island. We bless God for the volunteers who make this possible.
In April we will be part of the team facilitating a YWAM UofN Children At Risk Seminar Online.
One of our volunteer who have consistently assist our programs and is working along side the girls have the following to say...
"
My name is Melissa, and I have been a volunteer with YWAM Saint Lucia for the past eight years. Over the past year, I have had the privilege of working with the children and young ladies from the New Beginnings Transit Home, alongside a few dedicated women and YWAM. Together, we’ve focused on mentoring the young ladies and providing remedial support for the children. It has truly been a pleasure serving them and witnessing their growth and maturity over time."
Kid's Club
This week we had a small Christmas party for the kids distributing over 20 gifts and personalized cards sent by our friends from Yorktown, Illinois.
The children all left with a big smile and something, from a book to a small teddybear. Some of our older youth made a puppet show for the younger one telling the story of Christmas.
We are grateful for the thoughtfulness of our friends and the kids from the Yorktown church: Isaac and Lindsay Newman
Youth and School Ministry
In addition to our summer adventure follow up group, we are facilitating religious knowledge (RK) classes in 3 public schools at the moment using the Alpha Youth resources to engage the youths and challenge them either to know the Savior Jesus or to grow in their relationship with Him and be able to defend their faith among their peers.
Over seventy-five young people are being engaged weekly with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please continue to pray that we will have more volunteers to continue this strategic ministry and be able to support other ministries like the ISCF (Inter-School Christian Fellowship) ..
Operation Home
Given the rapid increase in property prices in Saint Lucia, securing a location for the Ministry of YWAM seems nothing short of miraculous. Perhaps that's why we refer to our God as a miracle-working God; for with Him, nothing is beyond reach. In moments like these, when we have eager volunteers ready to step in but lack the facilities to host them, the need is clear. We eagerly anticipate the day we can welcome missionaries and volunteers—whether for ministry or retreat—at our YWAM Base in Saint Lucia. "Operation Home" is a faith initiative launched by the board of YWAM Saint Lucia, with the goal of acquiring a property to alleviate one of our critical operational challenges. We invite our friends and supporters of YWAM Saint Lucia to join us in prayer for a breakthrough in securing a space where we can create a playground and a facility to support volunteers and youth in transition for discipleship, and potentially to host YWAM schools as well.
🙏🏾.
We are grateful to God for all our partners who have supported us in continuing the ministry of YWAM St Lucia through their prayers and financial contributions.

The image showcases a delightful batch of homemade pesto, prepared by Marylin as a token of appreciation for some of our local partners. We extend our sincere gratitude to all of you, both near and far, who support us in numerous ways.
